Privacy policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

2 Dudes Tech Pty Ltd (ABN 32 701 348 950) (“2 Dudes Tech”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and disclose personal information when you visit our website, purchase products or services, request a quote, contact us or otherwise interact with our business.

Our website provides information about our apps, 3D printing and custom projects, and lets you send us enquiries. The website is hosted using Cloudflare. Online checkout and customer accounts are not available on this website. Where an app has a store link, downloads and purchases take place through the Apple App Store or Google Play under that store’s terms and privacy practices.

1. Who We Are

2 Dudes Tech Pty Ltd
ABN: 32 701 348 950
Location: New South Wales, Australia
Email: [email protected]

For privacy and security reasons, we do not publish a residential address or telephone number.

2. Australian Privacy Law

We handle personal information in accordance with privacy laws that apply to our business.

The Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”) apply to certain Australian organisations and businesses.

Where the Privacy Act and APPs apply to 2 Dudes Tech, we will handle personal information in accordance with those requirements.

Where they do not apply to a particular activity, we nevertheless aim to follow reasonable privacy and data-protection practices appropriate to our business.

The OAIC recommends that privacy policies clearly explain how personal information is collected, held, used and disclosed. OAIC

3. Personal Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect information such as:

  • your name;
  • email address;
  • billing and delivery details;
  • order and transaction information;
  • products or services purchased;
  • account information;
  • quote and enquiry information;
  • business or company name where provided;
  • communications with us;
  • customer support information;
  • custom product specifications;
  • measurements, drawings, CAD files or other files you provide;
  • software licence or activation information where applicable;
  • information associated with downloads or digital products;
  • IP address;
  • browser and device information;
  • website usage information;
  • cookie and similar technology information; and
  • other information you voluntarily provide to us.

We aim to collect only information reasonably necessary for our business activities and services.

When you use our enquiry form, we collect your name, email address, selected enquiry topic and message. We also keep a reference number, submission time, progress status, notification status and any internal follow-up notes needed to manage your enquiry. The form does not accept file attachments. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information in your message.

4. Payment Information

This website does not currently take payments or collect payment-card details. If you follow a link to purchase an app through the Apple App Store or Google Play, the relevant store handles the transaction under its own terms and privacy practices. Any separately arranged custom work or other payment method will be explained when it is offered.

5. How We Collect Personal Information

We may collect personal information when you:

  • browse our website;
  • create an account;
  • place an order;
  • purchase or download software;
  • request a quote;
  • submit a contact form;
  • communicate with us by email;
  • request customer or technical support;
  • provide files or specifications for custom work;
  • subscribe to marketing communications;
  • interact with website cookies or analytics technologies; or
  • otherwise provide information directly to us.

Some technical information may be collected automatically when you use our website.

We may also receive information from service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our business—for example, payment confirmations and delivery information.

6. Why We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • process and fulfil orders;
  • process payments;
  • arrange shipping and delivery;
  • provide digital products and software;
  • administer software licences where applicable;
  • prepare and respond to quotes;
  • manufacture custom products;
  • communicate about orders and projects;
  • provide customer and technical support;
  • maintain customer accounts;
  • respond to enquiries;
  • operate and improve our website;
  • maintain security and prevent fraud;
  • keep appropriate business and transaction records;
  • comply with applicable legal obligations;
  • resolve disputes;
  • understand how customers use our website; and
  • send marketing communications where permitted by law.

We will not use personal information for an unrelated purpose where doing so would be inappropriate or unlawful.

7. Hosting, Enquiry Storage and Email

We use Cloudflare to host the website, store submitted enquiries and protect access to our private administration pages. Authorised staff can view and manage enquiries in that administration area.

We use Resend to send an email notification containing your enquiry reference, name, email address, topic and message to our business inbox. Your enquiry is saved before notification delivery is attempted, so an email delivery problem does not remove the enquiry.

Our business email is provided through Google Workspace. Information may also be retained in our business email account and in database backups.

8. Service Providers

We may disclose or make personal information available to service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our business.

These may include providers of:

  • ecommerce services;
  • website hosting;
  • payment processing;
  • email services;
  • cloud storage;
  • analytics;
  • fraud prevention;
  • software licensing;
  • customer support systems;
  • accounting or business administration;
  • shipping and delivery; and
  • professional services.

We do not sell customer personal information as part of our ordinary business operations.

We aim to disclose only information reasonably necessary for the relevant provider to perform its services.

9. Overseas Processing

Our service providers may process personal information outside Australia, including in the United States. Our enquiry email is sent through Resend using a sending region in Japan; this does not mean the email data is stored only in Japan.

Cloudflare and Google may also process information in other countries where they or their subprocessors operate. Their current processing and subprocessor information is available through the provider links below. These settings do not establish Australia-only storage.

Where applicable Australian privacy law imposes requirements concerning overseas disclosure of personal information, we will take reasonable steps to comply with those requirements.

10. Security Checks, Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use Cloudflare Turnstile to help protect the enquiry form from automated abuse. Cloudflare may process technical information such as network, browser and device information when providing this service. Our enquiry service also uses a hashed network identifier to limit repeated submission attempts. Expired rate-limit records are cleaned up when subsequent enquiries are processed.

Cloudflare Access provides sign-in and session protection for authorised staff using the private administration area.

The current website does not include shopping-cart or customer-account functionality. Security services may use cookies or similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings, although restrictions may affect security checks or sign-in.

11. Analytics

We do not currently install advertising pixels or visitor analytics scripts on this website. Hosting and security providers may still process technical logs and operational information needed to provide and protect their services.

12. Marketing Communications

Where permitted by law, we may send information about products, software, services, updates or offers.

Australian commercial electronic-message rules generally require businesses to have consent, identify the sender and provide a functional way to unsubscribe. ACMA

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe facility provided in the message or by contacting:

[email protected]

We will process unsubscribe requests in accordance with applicable law.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary transactional communications such as order confirmations, invoices, software information or customer-support responses.

13. Custom Projects and Customer Files

If you provide CAD files, drawings, photographs, specifications, measurements or other information for custom manufacturing or development work, we may retain those materials as reasonably necessary to:

  • provide a quote;
  • complete the project;
  • provide support;
  • maintain appropriate transaction records; and
  • meet legal or business record-keeping requirements.

We will not intentionally publish customer-supplied private project materials without permission unless required by law.

14. WorkshopOS

When you contact us about WorkshopOS, we may handle the contact details, product information and support information you provide. Any separate purchase, licensing or activation process will be explained when offered. This website currently provides product information and enquiry facilities rather than an online software checkout.

This may include customer contact details, purchase information and licence-related information where applicable.

If WorkshopOS later introduces functionality that collects additional categories of personal information, this Privacy Policy should be reviewed and updated accordingly.

15. Drill Log Pro

Drill Log Pro is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Apple and Google may separately collect and process information associated with app downloads, purchases, subscriptions or platform accounts according to their respective privacy practices.

This general Privacy Policy applies to personal information that 2 Dudes Tech itself receives or handles.

Drill Log Pro may also be covered by additional app-specific privacy disclosures where required.

16. Security

We take reasonable steps appropriate to our business to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

Security measures may include appropriate access controls, authentication, reputable service providers and other technical or organisational safeguards.

However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

If you believe information you have provided to us may have been compromised, please contact us promptly.

17. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected and for legitimate business, accounting, support, warranty, dispute-resolution and legal requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements.

Where information is no longer reasonably required and we are not legally required to retain it, we may delete, destroy or de-identify it where appropriate.

We review closed enquiries that have not become jobs after three months to decide whether they are still needed. Records needed for jobs, transactions, ongoing support or legal purposes may be kept separately.

Review does not mean that every copy is automatically deleted at exactly three months; email copies, provider records and backups must also be considered when carrying out deletion.

18. Access and Correction

You may contact us if you would like to request access to personal information we hold about you or ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.

Contact:

[email protected]

We may need to verify your identity before providing access to personal information.

We will respond to requests in accordance with applicable law.

19. Deletion Requests

You may contact us to request deletion of personal information we hold about you.

We will consider the request and delete information where reasonably possible and required or permitted by applicable law.

We may need to retain certain information for purposes such as:

  • completing transactions;
  • accounting and tax records;
  • fraud prevention;
  • dispute resolution;
  • legal obligations; or
  • establishing, exercising or defending legal rights.

Deletion from our systems may not automatically delete information independently held by third-party providers where they have their own lawful basis or obligation to retain it.

20. Children

Our store and services are not specifically directed at young children.

We do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children where it is unnecessary for our services.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us inappropriately, please contact us.

21. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms or services.

Those third parties operate under their own privacy practices.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of a third-party service before providing personal information to it.

22. Privacy Complaints

If you have a question or complaint about how we have handled your personal information, contact:

[email protected]

Please provide enough information for us to understand and investigate the issue.

We will aim to respond within a reasonable period.

Where the Privacy Act applies and you are not satisfied with our response, you may have the right to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

23. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, services, technology providers, information-handling practices or legal obligations change.

The current version will be published on our website and identified by the “Last updated” date.

We encourage customers to review the policy periodically.
